This Saffron Dry Fruit Cake Recipe Video – Kesar Pista Badam Cake makes any amazing adornment for any celebration table!
Saffron Dry Fruit cake is pretty straight with a touch of Indian flavour, just have all the ingredients and you are good to go with not many steps or complicated processes. Just remember to soak the saffron threads (buy good quality saffron threads) to extract maximum flavor from them. If you are in a hurry, soak them for at least 20 minutes.
This cake very close to my heart because it has all the goodness of saffron,almonds and other dried fruits. This is definitely a fusion cake which I can’t resist. You can layer this cake and frost this with you favorite frosting.
Another reason why I like this cake is because my husband is not a big fan of cakes but when I add dry fruits to it he cannot resist it.

1.5 cups of all-purpose flour/ maida
3/4 cups of butter( unsalted and at room temperature)
3/4 cups of sugar
3 eggs at room temperature
1tsp baking powder
4tbsp of warm milk
2 pinches of saffron
A handful of almonds and pistachios
Pinch of salt
