How to make Strawberry Pound Cake – No Butter Pound Cake – Easy Cake Recipe

Never thought this cake could come out so good. If you like strawberries like me then this cake is definitely for you. The cake recipe is such and easy one that you don’t need any special ingredients. The cake is moist, soft and lot of flavor from fresh strawberries. What better to you can make with fresh strawberries, than the strawberry pound cake.

This strawberry pound cake is made will the simple ingredients as I mentioned earlier because I don’t like complicated recipes. I always keep in mind about my viewers and post the recipes. There are many people who are planning to learn how to bake or people who are baking once in a while. Just follow the steps by step instructions or directions shown in the video and will end up with not only a delicious cake that taste good but soothing to the eyes.

Ingredients for strawberry pound cake
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup curd 1 cup sugar 3 large eggs 1 tsp almond extract 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup diced strawberries

Step by step instructions

  1. Add curd, oil, sugar, eggs and almond essence and whisk till sugar dissolves
  2. Next add 2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 1/2 cups of maida/ flour
  3. Whisk once again to make sure there are no lumps of flour
  4. Finally add 1/2 cup strawberry and mix well
  5. Pour the batter in a greased and lined baking loaf
  6. Bake @ 180 degrees Celsius for 50 minutes

You can see that the is so moist and soft. I can’t forget the taste of this amazing cake. You should definitely try this I suggest.


For this recipe, I used fresh strawberries, but of course, you could also use frozen strawberries, just make sure you defrost them and pat dry with kitchen paper to get rid of any excess water from the freeze. The strawberry pound cake is also freezer friendly so if you wanted to make ahead, or cut into slices and freeze indivivually if there’s just you at home then simply bring to room temperature and it’s good to eat!
